A ubiquitous piece of technology, that most Alliance citizens have.
General communication device and personal computer. Most if not all have some projection capability. (Sediryl projected her internal scans at her investiture, so that everyone in the throne room could see them.)
Information on them can be 'thrown' to larger nearby displays.
Vasiht'h often uses his to talk to Sehvi in real time, when they are in different solar systems. He usually keeps his tablet in his saddlebags.
They seem to be somewhere between the iPad Mini and regular iPad in size, so about 7 or 8 inches diagonally.
