During the [[Aggrandizement]], when the threat of human aggression had faded from Pelted heads, Fleet's design board expanded the [[Sojourner Class Scout|Sojourner class scout]] into the Vigilant. This was done with more haste than care, and the ships were considered imperfect solutions to the need for long term mission platforms. They were swiftly replaced by the [[Ghost Class Destroyer|Ghost2 class]], and most of the Vigilants were taken apart for scrap. A few remained in service until they were mothballed, however, and later these derelicts were purchased by [[Liolesa Galare|Liolesa]], who paid to have them overhauled as the core of her new system navy.

History
