An alternative to ö when you can't type that is to write it as "oe": Goedel. (Achieving ö depends on your equipment; in Windows, if you have a keyboard with a numeric keypad, you can hold down the "alt" key to the left of the space-bar and type 0246 on said keypad.)

Well, there's your problem: Linux isn't Windows. I know nothing about achieving non-ASCII characters in Linux. ~Julika14
