Shapechanging female. Going through a bow phase. Bows on the horns! Bows on the tail! Bows on dresses! Bows on the Flitzbe! (who "hangs onto them" with its neural fur, so the bow just... sticks to it.) Likes to paint her claws rainbow colors, with glitter.

Biography

Born in 481 BA in early autumn (labor began during transit between Starbase Psi and Escutcheon, in the Earthrise's cargo bay). The inspiration for her name was provided by her mother, to honor Thaniet, whose mother called her 'little gift.' (Reese named her Lunet, which means gift in Chatcaavan; she thought it sounded Eldritchy. But the name as given is pronounced "loon EHT" while the Chatcaavan word is pronounced "LOON iht" (and so should probably be spelled luunit), so the Chatcaava don't realize what she intended.) She was given to the care of Reese Eddings, Surela's liegelady, shortly after her birth, because the political situation in the Alliance made it risky to raise a Chatcaavan child abroad; her mother judged she would be safer on Escutcheon, where she would also have the benefit of growing up alongside other children.

Had a cheerful disposition, even as an infant, and grew up into a sunny child.

Her nurse was Sojourner Stars, and her bodyguard was literally Bodyguard.

Went abroad determinedly to meet her mother by disguising herself as multiple species and then hiding in a cargo crate; her adventures there led her to befriend the crew of the Earthrise, then multiple Chatcaava (who offered to teach her to fire shipboard lasers), and a budding mind-mage (the lady Fasianyl).
