Physical Appearance

"The male sitting beside the Knife on the bench in the nursery was shorter than the Queen, thicker through the torso, and had the heftiest wing arms she’d ever seen. The knots of muscle at his shoulders and girdling his arm joints were nearly grotesque in their size. But he had an interesting face, lacking the hard cunning of the average Chatcaavan male. She perceived him to be analyzing her the same way she was him, and she found this refreshing."

Overdevelopment of the wing musculature is due to the wings themselves being stunted in size: they can be flown with, but only with a great deal of flapping. Gliding and aerobatics would not be possible.

Biography

Prior and During the War

Knife's companion from prior to his elevation to the title of Knife. In the navy; liked to work with security, logistics, and computers. The Knife "stole" him from the Navy to work as one of the Queen's security people.
