Olyssia Biserka

Physical Characteristics

A digitigrade Harat-Shar of the bobcat intrarace, in her late 30s at the time Alysha takes command. 5'3". She's a sandy gray in coloring, with a muzzled face and large gray-green eyes, and her hands are somewhat thicker/larger than average with paw-pad like prominences on her palms and the balls of her feet and her toes. She coiffs her head-hair short enough to curve into her facial ruffs.

Biography

Olyssia started her career in the Harat-Shariin homeguard in her late teens and spent a decade doing system defense before going to the Academe to join Fleet. As one of the oldest cadets in her class, she was often sought as a sounding board and a granter of useful advice, and this predilection led her superiors to earmark her as a potential trainer. She trained under several NOTCs, once as an ensign and again as a lieutenant commander, which is how she ended up the senior NOTC of the Stardancer. Her career path in Fleet is Tactical, with an emphasis on in-system navigation, and as such she falls under Taylitha's command.

Family

A Harat-Shar from the homeworld, Olyssia's train, Biserka, is small but traditional, with two mothers. She has four siblings. She's not estranged from her family--she feels fondly about them--but she found her home too noisy for her tastes, which is what led her to enlist so young in the Homeguard. She still sends gifts and greetings but is not attached to what she left behind.
