Both generally, and specific examples. I should separate this into nonfiction and fiction.

Paper books still exist in the Alliance but their presence seems to be notable, and they are more expensive than digital copies.[1][2]

Pelted, General

Fiction

  • Romances
  • Publishing houses
    • Several owned by Lesandurel, one of which publishes Natalie Felger's books. (reference My True Love Gave to Me, formally Twelve Days, when published)

Nonfiction

  • Anthropology journals, read by Alysha Forrest[4], including New Anthropology Journal[5]
  • Perspectives in History Monthly, journal read by Alysha Forrest[5]
  • Comparative Cultures, a journal read by Pelipenele Argentson[6]; was said to contain an article written by Dr. Edisse about the pottery of the Ciracaana's Mother Cult.
  • History books (overview of the Alliance's): Tandeyra, author.
  • Wiley's is the Pelted equivalent of Janes (or as close as it gets), and does regular editions of hardware compendiums, all with hand-drawn and usually watercolored illustrations.

Poetry

  • Major Poets of the Exodus [7]. (Vasiht'h gave Jahir a copy of this for the holidays). Many of the poems are in Meredan, translated.
there is freedom in the stars
there is somewhere
out there

looking up we see a dome
but it is only
illusion

if we could fly up past it
we would find
out who
we were
when we were finally alone

Catalogs

  • Pathways has a catalog, they sell reproductions of cultural artifacts[6]

Pelted, Military

The Eagle's Flight

One Fleet's unofficial news-zine, available both in physical format and delivered electronically.[8][9][4]

  • Ran an article about D-pers in Fleet, when D-pers were new (before 414 BA).[10]

Known readers:

The Journal of War History

Recommended to Alysha Forrest by one of her teachers.[11]

Perspectives on Leadership

A training and development journal composed solely of anecdotes from various Fleet officers about situations they resolved, or failed to resolve, and what they learned from it. Issues are large. One of Taylitha's favorites. [12]

Others

  • Military journals, read by Alysha Forrest, who noticed that in a particular batch of journals, "with only three exceptions, [the authors] were all human"[11]

Eldritch Publications and Books

Children's Books

  • Fasala UeTerviri (His Best/Favorite Hound) [13]<ref name="Sean01">Twelve Days'
  • (The Prudent Little Hen) for example The little red hen [1]
  • (Seven Maidens and One White Tree)
