Kuuvel (Head Surgeon)

Wears the effects of aging very lightly. Also a medical jacket.

Biography

The "irredeemably" jocular male the Surgeon survived school and a painful residency with. Their Surgeon-Master's favorite saying was 'Check for lividity.'

He has no problems talking to females as if they're capable of thought (he knew one who belonged to the male in charge of the capital system's defenses that he consulted for help).

Apparently he and the Surgeon have been done with medical school and their residency for at least twenty years.

His part in the events of the Chatcaavan throneworld court coup need explication here, as well as the fact that he went with Lisinthir and the FIA hold back to the Alliance, and so was in Selnor for the Battle of Selnor (and helped clean up its aftermath, which finally managed to depress his humor). Kuuvel, Lisinthir, and the rest of the Silhouette crew leave the Throne World almost immediately after the battle for the Emperor’s tower. Rioting is beginning on the Throne World, and the space battle is not yet over. When Lisinthir goes for a last check on Jahir in the gel tank, he is told by Kuuvel and the Surgeon about the Eldritch nanotech. Since the surgeons have been working on that, they could not have had the casualties mentioned in Legacy yet. Kuuvel asks to go to the Alliance and leaves with Lisinthir. Thus Kuuvel cannot be on the Throne World during Legacy as he is already en route to the Alliance. (From Ruins, Chapter 17; Major Pieces, Legacy)

Last seen, Kuuvel is in the Alliance on the Silhouette helping to clear wreckage and collect bodies. (From Ruins, Chapter 21)
