History

The sixth Pelted homeworld to be settled in the Core, during the Exodus. (Count does not include Selnor, which is considered a communal planet.)

Geography

Aren is moderately temperate to hot, and very dry. Aren is rich in precious stones and metals -- it is one of the biggest suppliers of gold in the Alliance. Aren is also the sole provider of the flitirel, a precious gem of a rich, red-orange color, and of rulent, a gem of a dark, clear turquoise color.

One moon, blue: Celereiol Sun is yellow.

Landmarks

• Aren Welcome - "Less a network of grim catwalks and dark bulkheads and more a bazaar." A bustling station, built onto a distant planetoid small enough to look like a giant asteroid, in furthest orbit. It's more typical for welcome stations to be stationary, but naturally, Aren's moves.

The solar system is littered with infrastructure, from the innermost planet to the outermost debris field. There are a lot of asteroid belts and random flotsam and jetsam in the system (part of what the Aera liked about it when they were looking for a place to settle), and they built out establishments in and all around the solar system, and it is customary for clans of Aera (or individuals) to go jetting around from one establishment to another. There are practical uses: mining platforms, power collection arrays... but also recreational.

• The best diner in-system is on an asteroid, and it is the only establishment on that asteroid (around the 450s BA)
