Felsha

The Asanii lieutenant serving as part-time navigator of the UAV Stardancer. Best friends with Darya Darteriov.

Physical Characteristics

Light brown fur and hair; sometimes her coloring is described as "golden" or "caramel". Has a sweet open face and masses of tawny curls, usually pulled back into a ponytail with a golden clasp. Soft soprano. Svetlana described her as "a golden willow with a gentle countenance and a small pink nose."

History

Family

Felsha participated as a schoolgirl in a trip to help some beaching whales on a planet with two silver moons: the Velvet Whale Watch. (She had a shirt, black with a spiny cartoon whale the color of a roasted almond. They didn't get the color right, "the whales were more a shiny gold in the right light."

Recent History

Rooms with Darya, with whom she is best friends, now that she is on the Stardancer. "They were a striking pair, with their contrasts, light and dark, prim and earthy; from what Alysha had gathered, they considered their differences superficial, compared to the qualities that had inspired their friendship."

Felsha was in charge of navigating the Fleet shuttle when Alysha Forrest returned to Gledig to stop the most recent pirate attack. She was slightly dismayed when Darya immediately destroyed the pirate shuttle, but agreed that it was better than having the pirates loose on the streets. She and Darya remained in the shuttle and bore witness to the duel between Alysha and Dylan Brushnie. At Laelkii Takara Lifeweave's request, they streamed the duel to the station.

On Amity

Along with Darya and Rochelle InOrder, Darya explored the caves that were Alastar Virgil's last known position, and located and rescued the Second Commander. She and Darya later discovered the ruins of buildings and called in the archaeological team.

Trivia

• Prefers to go to the gym after her shift
• Favorite pajamas are her battered gray ones with the Fleet eagle on them
• Is fairly flexible, which suggests at least some of her exercise is related to stretching, like yoga or calisthenics
• Mostly reads the humor columns in the Fleet newsletters
• Swears by the Sungod.
• Taylitha Basil believes that Felsha was good First Commander material and only needed more experience, but was aware that Felsha might not choose to go that route.
