Ground Forces
This is the Pelted consolidated army. They're a tiny group compared to the navy and are more like specialists and reservists than a literal army.
Mission and Scope of Activities
Ground Forces also provides the various security details for Alliance dignitaries (in practice, mostly the Council members when they travel). The most prestigious part of Ground Forces is Division 10, the detail for the Alliance Chair; selection for it requires special training and aptitudes. There's some rivalry and (good-natured, mostly) inter-force backbiting between the "dusties" (the soldiers assigned to various planetary problems, named because their boots come in contact with dirt) and the "tinsels" (the soldiers assigned to security details, named for the amount of gold and silver adornments on their dress uniforms), but everyone respects the "panthers" of Division 10, named not only for their nondescript uniforms but also for the first Division 10 commandant, a Harat-Shar pantherine, Eskandar, train Kurisya.

Uniforms
- GF Regulars (the soldiering division) has a neutral gray ground as their uniform, with the combat uniforms having a camouflage coating that responds to environmental cues to tint the fabric in a colored break-up pattern.
- GF Security uniforms also have a gray ground for their uniform, but their service uniforms are fancier.
