Administration
Officials
- Chancellor (Delerenenard Sara Mathanith)
- Royal Procurer (Thuliven Mel Deriline)
- Royal Treasurer
- Master of Ceremonies
- The name of whatever dude/ette is in charge of the Office of Muniments
- Lord of War. Liolesa first uses "Lord of War" for Hirianthial when she introduces him to the ambassador and admiral on Starbase Omega. The title is a surprise to him, although he does not object. The last man to answer to the title died in the war with Corel, during Jerisa's reign. [1] Liolesa translates the title for Reese as "defense secretary". [2]
Cabinet
These are mostly new positions, in the past the Queen was autocratic and did not rely much on a cabinet. Not sure who's in most of them, in fact, but I think several people might be doubling up (like Hirianthial as both Lord of War and Health Minister.
- Minister of Agriculture (for now Sediryl)
- Minister of Science (Kis'eh't)
- Minister of Education
- Lord of War (Hirianthial)
- Minister of Culture?
- High Priest of the Lord (Val)
- Minister of Trade (Reese) ("What!")
- Minister of Infrastructure
- Minister of Technology
- Minister of Health
Councils
- Immigration
- Integration (spreading tech without disruption)
- Nobles' Court (heads of families can come kvetch about issues with their peers)
- Mage Council (schools, training, knighthoods)
The Little Court
I think I called it this? (Yup: Healer's Wedding, chapter 7.) The Heir traditionally has her own council/cabinet/coterie. Sediryl's consists initially of Maia and Qora, then adds Lili, but then it gets hard to keep track, or to draw a line between "council member" and "friend who counsels".
