- 5 (The Well's Deep) This speed is only typical of Fleet vessels pushing things.

- Breathnache, an extremely hard, tough substance that can be sharpened to a very fine edge; it can cut stone, metal, and transmetal alloys, and can scratch diamond. Constructed atom by atom[1]. Used for applications like starship structural pieces[2], as well as for Alysha Forrest's replacement claws[1]
- Antigrav parachutes, consisting of a small but right T-shaped frame on the back and chest[3]
- Snowplow generators, which create a field that either pushes debris away from the ship or vaporizes it. Not necessary while in Well.[3]
