Felsha Rennagan

Felsha participated as a schoolgirl in a trip to help some beaching whales on some planet with two silver moons: the Velvet Whale Watch. (She had a shirt, black with a spiny cartoon whale the color of a roasted almond. They didn't get the color right, "the whales were more a shiny gold in the right light."
