It happened, and it was really not good. "Blood and freedom" style not good. Had a serious effect on how people on Mars did... basically everything.
Timeline
- The Mars colony was founded in 2132, 30ish years after the departure of the people who would become the Eldritch.
- The Mars/Earth war started (around) 2399 and lasted until (around) 2412, about thirteen years.
- The Pelted were engineered roughly 58ish years prior to the start of the war, and the Pelted exodus happened roughly 28 years before the Mars/Earth war.
- However, the Alliance wasn't formed until 2471, 59 years after the end of the Mars/Earth war.
- At the time of the Rapprochement, the end of the Mars/Earth war was about 199 years in the past.
- It's not clear how old Reese was at the start of Earthrise, but assuming she was in her early thirties, the Mars/Earth war ended 503 years before she was born. (!)
