Communications

• call their network 'the skein'
• when sending messages to someone on an active duty ship, either the message would be received by a person's messaging system, or the ship takes the message for them. Not connecting at all shouldn't be possible.

Everyday Stuff

• teethbrooms (used to clean)
• gel-tanks (medical, used for short-term healing.)
• use slots for their talons to unlock interfaces
• also claw and grab things to move them around (Alliance interfaces are more 'point and swipe'; Chatcaavan tech tends to treat things more like 3d, not flat surfaces.)

Weapons

• whips among the Chatcaava were never developed to be used on beasts of burden, only on one another
