Major city on the world of Sharsenne. Inhabited by both Chatcaava and Alliance citizens.
History
First city settled on the world of Sharsenne, by the Chatcaava, when it was still their world.
The Treaty of Za'ara was drafted here in 159 BA.
Name
Jeintelle is the Pelted name for the city; the Chatcaava call it Che Zuchek, and if they need clarification, say 'the city' (raug che zuchek), rather than the planet (ris che zuchek). The other settlements with primarily Chatcaavan citizens are known by their Chatcaavan names, which are (to the Pelted) more specific.
Architecture
"Beneath the perfect azure sky spread the perfect darker cobalt of a lake, and on its fringe was a city. Its buildings thrust their arcarded loggias out of the water, rising to six and seven-story heights. Columned verandas perched over the water, protruding from the stone buildings that defied the elements. Hundreds of these houses clustered together, interspersed with waterways that formed their thoroughfares. Ships of all sizes crowded them, sailing down them, paddling up them, sliding through the columned doorways into sheltered areas beneath the houses where they could be tied so their masters could walk up the water-stairs." "Apparently an upper class side of town, the buildings faced the open lake on one side. Their facades were more delicately ornamented with an eye for mathematical order in stone of gray and pink."
