Specifics/Layout

• Officers' club looks like a traditional officers' club. Lots of small rooms with dark wood paneling, clusters of chairs and shelves full of knickknacks and books. Wooden floors. Dining tables with utensils tucked into napkins.

Service History

• Prior to the captain's retreat, and during Beringwaite's tenure as First Commander, the Cometfencer did pirate hunting in the Outskirts, (the sectors adjacent to and including Thaka Epta)); no battles but they ran down merchants carrying contraband, including five slavers. This has given them significant experience in working up 'moths'. They had a recent specialist turnover at the Core, prior to the captain's retreat.

• During the captain's retreat, the Cometfencer saw battle in a dark pirate base, alongside the Stardancer, during which they were so significantly damaged they required a tow back to the nearest beachhead, which could only repair them enough to bootstrap them to a starbase's proper drydock. However, between them, the two ships took out three pirate vessels and a pirate merchant, plus a pirate base. This battle caused fatalities and casualties on the Cometfencer.
• Hosted three organizations on a goodwill mission on Fleet's behalf: OFRUFF, the Lamb and Dove League, and Peace Bonds, involving a trip to a stellar nursery in Sector Delta.

Has developed an assault team with experience in boarding maneuvers, thanks to Tierney. She's "turned the Cometfencer's security division into something the Marines would recognize, but that's a specialization that leaves them less suited to all the odds and ends their job descriptions require of them."
