Baner Ajasiin
Baner Ajasiin is member of Fleet, an inveterate flirt, and friend of Alysha Forrest. Despite his outrageous speech, he's good at cultural boundaries, honestly interested in other people, and has a good-natured personality.
Physical Characteristics
Baner is a muscular Harat-Shar tigraine.
Background
Baner's family had an estate near Terracentrus on the beach, where Baner hosted a cadet graduation party.[1]
Recent History
Baner first met Alysha Forrest when the two were both assigned to Blue Team when playing the capture the flag under the eye of Commander Mark West. Baner was the first to recognize Forrest's tactical skill, and aided her as she slowly grew to learn how to connect with people and be a leader.[2]
During a sparring match, Baner impulsively kissed Alysha, which set her into a fugue state during which she attempted to tear his chest open. Though Alysha was deeply regretful, Baner never held it against her; Laelkii's theory was that he understood that he had crossed an emotional line.[3]
Baner hosted a cadet graduation party at his family's estate on the beach, where he bet that he'd make captain before Alysha.[1]
Made captain six months after Alysha, losing a wager he tried jokingly to talk her into about who would make captain first. [4] Is now captain of the UAV Windchaser, a battlecruiser.
