Carey is Svetlana Karishenikov's cousin and a member of the Pro-Accord underground.

Carey and Svetlana are cousins and were and are quite close.

This one time, he got the goats drunk.

Recent History

Carey was a member of the Pro-Accord underground, and inducted Svetlana Karishenikov into it as well when she chose to remain on Gledig. He explained the current situation and brought her to the Pro-Accord base, and introduced her to Owen and Maire.

He attended the disastrous dinner at Governor Kerenkev's mansion, disguised as a waiter, and witnessed Svetlana's aid to the Fleet members. He was deeply alarmed when Svetlana didn't come back to base with Taylitha, but was elated to recover her, and also at the news that the pirate ship had been destroyed by the UAV Stardancer.

Carey participated, along with Owen and Maire, in the memorial service that marked the end of the civil war.
