The settlers of this world left Hinichitii at the same time as those intended for Covenant, but arrived a year later. Magdalene is more pastoral, and specializes in agrarian exports including a cloth made from a local fiber prized for its softness, thinness, and warmth. The colonists of Magdalene follow a Hinichi sect that claims Mary Magdalene as an outsider who understood the prejudices suffered by wolves (as opposed to the original Hinichi sects, which claim that Mary-Mother-of-God was the one who first saw value in the wolves).
